A growing organization in Milford is seeking a hands-on, proactive Desktop Support Technician to join their onsite IT operations. This role is designed to streamline front-end support and reduce reliance on external deployment resources, with a clear ROI tied to a structured PC replacement schedule and potential project participation
What You’ll Do
- Perform desktop and laptop installations, replacements, and troubleshooting
- Assist users and be the front end of the support experience
- Work and resolve reactive tickets and work on proactive tasks as designated by the business and external IT provider
- Provide onsite support for end users across Windows and macOS environments
- Handle basic equipment swaps and front-line technical issues
- Occasionally support off-hours requests based on QTL’s operational needs
What You Bring
- 3+ years of support experience ideally in a mix of helpdesk situations and onsite roles
- Familiarity with macOS support and strong windows background
- Some server familiarity/understanding of IT business concepts.
- Strong PC hardware/software troubleshooting skills as well as application skills
- General networking knowledge; certification preferred or planned within first year
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
Stand outs:
Certifications such as Network+, Comptia A+, Microsoft or other vendor certifications preferred
Server experience desired
365 administration/experience
