We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for technology and excellent communication skills to join our IT team in a hybrid Helpdesk and Audio-Visual (AV) support role.

 

What You'll Do...
The Entry-Level IT Helpdesk and AV Support Technician will be responsible for providing (OneSite 5 Days A Week) front-line support to employees across the organization located in our Fort Lauderdale office. This includes assisting users with technical issues, configuring hardware/software, and supporting internal AV systems used in meetings, presentations, and events. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, technically proficient, and eager to grow within the IT field.

Helpdesk Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Act as the liaison between on-site operations and the remote IT support team.
  • Provide timely support updates and clear communication with end users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on Windows and Mac OS platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access via Active Directory, Office 365, and other internal tools.
  • Document support issues, resolutions, and processes in the IT knowledge base.
     

Audio-Visual (AV) Support

  • Set up, test, and operate AV equipment for meetings, video conferences, webinars, and company events.
  • Maintain AV infrastructure in meeting rooms including projectors, displays, video conferencing units, and audio systems.
  • Provide live support during meetings and events to resolve issues promptly.
  • Work with third-party vendors or platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, WebEx) to ensure system compatibility and reliability.
  • This roll may require work outside of normal business hours.
  • Occasional travel required.
     

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10/11, and common enterprise tools.  Knowledge of Mac OS is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A customer service mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
