Primary Objective
The Junior Systems Network Administrator will assist in managing, maintaining, and supporting our IT infrastructure, with a focus on Windows environments, Microsoft Azure services, M365 applications, and other manufacturing and engineering software. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional eager to expand their knowledge in systems, networking, and cloud technologies while supporting critical business operations in the ITS industry.
Key Responsibilities
System & Network Administration
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers, desktops, and applications.
- Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Support and troubleshoot manufacturing software and ERP software
- Monitor system performance and network connectivity to ensure reliability and security.
Cloud & Virtualization
- Support cloud infrastructure tasks within Microsoft Azure and VMware, including virtual machines, storage, and identity management.
- Assist in maintaining Active Directory, group policies, and Azure AD integrations.
- Learn and contribute to hybrid cloud strategies and backup/recovery processes.
IT Support & Security
- Respond to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support tickets, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in implementing security measures, patch management, and antivirus protection.
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
Collaboration & Growth
- Work closely with senior IT staff on projects, migrations, and upgrades.
- Participate in cross-functional ITS projects where IT systems support traffic management solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and training opportunities.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of IT experience in systems or network support (internships and hands-on labs considered).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 10/11, and Azure administration.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and customer service mindset.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), or MCSA preferred (but not required).
- Experience with PTC software, such as Creo or Windchill, preferred, but not required.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Infor Cloudsuite ERP software also preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position requires flexibility to travel up to 20 to 40% within the Mountain and Pacific regions to provide on-site technical support at various MoboTrex locations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the employee may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus.
