SUMMARY OF POSITION

TITLE: Network Administrator
LOCATION: City of Pasco, WA (on-site)
SALARY: $102,190.40 - $122,678.40 Annually, depending on qualifications
JOB TYPE: Regular, Full-Time
UNION STATUS: Non-union
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
WORK SCHEDULE: On-site, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
CLOSING DATE: Open until filled, first review in two weeks.
 
THE ROLE:
As a Network Administrator, you will play a critical role in administering, managing, and supporting the City’s enterprise networks, SCADA, and traffic network services. This includes network infrastructure, hardware, security, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of LAN/WAN network administration experience, strong troubleshooting and network security skills, and the ability to collaborate with departments, agencies, vendors, and service providers to ensure secure and reliable technology.

 REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 - Bachelor’s degree in information systems/technology or related field; OR a combination of education and experience totaling 8 years.  
 - Minimum four (4) years of experience in the design and maintenance of enterprise LAN/WAN networks.  
 - Valid Washington State driver’s license within 30 days of hire.  
 - Professional-level network certifications.   
 
 
 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 - Experience with HPE/Aruba, WatchGuard, Barracuda, Meraki, and Siemens hardware.  
 - Knowledge of structured cabling, network protocols, and internet standards.  
 - Bilingual (English/Spanish).

 SAFETY/WORK CONDITIONS:  
 Work is performed primarily in an office setting, but may include crawl spaces, catwalks, vehicles, remote sites, and outdoor locations. Physical requirements include dexterity of hands and fingers, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces to pull cables and install equipment. May require after-hours response to emergencies.
