Network Administrator Positions

Employment Type: Full-time | Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $57.69 (equivalent to $119,995.20 annually)

Location: Bonita, CA (full-time in office)


Purpose of Role:

Under general direction, the Network Administrator manages and maintains the computer network, ensuring secure and efficient network operations. Responsible for installing, configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software, monitoring network performance, managing user access and improving security measures. Also responsible for troubleshooting and general Help Desk support as needed.


Summary of Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze/document network topology and implements changes to improve system integrity and operability.
  2. Study technology advancements to keep current on developments, innovation and equipment used in desktop systems, malware detection and removal, office automation graphics and multimedia, spreadsheets and word processing.
  3. Work with third party vendors to successfully integrate new technologies and systems.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot the network infrastructure and performs network administration tasks.
  5. Design, monitor and maintain network systems to support hybrid/remote users, including troubleshooting and computer support for remote work.
  6. Maintaining and supporting cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, CareControl 4, Minute Menu, online backups, and other cloud services.
  7. Secure network, including patching and installing the latest security updates to software, to prevent unauthorized access and protect private and confidential information.
  8. Administer user accounts and permission-based access controls in Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange environment.
  9. Assist in the maintenance of company equipment inventory database.
  10. Perform other projects or network administrative duties as needed.


Education and Experience:

Associates degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the responsibilities of the positions. Knowledge of programming language and operating systems; current equipment technologies in use; system administration, backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools; effective project management techniques.


Ability to plan, organize and document complex design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with instructional policies and procedures; communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility; perform tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.


Must have reliable transportation, good DMV record and provide a valid California Driver’s license with proof of auto insurance and registration; Background check and/or Fingerprint Clearance required.


Working Environment


Work environment includes high computer related noise levels, paper and equipment generated dust and the use of cleaning fluids and other materials for cleaning equipment. Works with electric, electronic and mechanical equipment. This position requires commitment to work under strict timelines and schedules in order to meet compliance requirements. Frequent driving to and from offices and training locations; subject to driving in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
