POSITION SUMMARY
In collaboration with the Technology Systems Engineering team, the Network Administrator I is accountable for the administration, implementation, and strategic management of the enterprise network. Responsibilities include assessing and identifying the needs of the organization. Implementing secure infrastructure baselines in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Providing analysis, troubleshooting, and training in support of the information systems infrastructure. Organizing coordinated lifecycle changes. Performing system installations and upgrades. Establishing industry standards and utilizing strategies to enhance network availability and operations. Employs networking and design tools to support network hardware, applications, systems, and operations/processes. Conducting routine maintenance and perform modifications to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. Reports to the Manager of Security Services or designee by the Director of Information Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Associate degree in information systems or related area or equivalent level of training/experience; two (2) years networking infrastructure experience. Proficient in current OS technologies, as well as LAN-WAN communication concepts e.g. TCP/IP, switching, and routing; Ability to implement cabling systems; Ability to work with industry standard communications protocols, and secure infrastructure standards. Familiar with healthcare informatics, resilient operation, and business workflows; ability to organize work and attend to detail; works collaboratively across multiple departments, with end users and schedules and provides exceptional customer service. Takes call as . Ability to work in a team environment with coaching and performance evaluation given by all team members.
Preferred: Cisco CCNA Certification

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the implementation, support, availability, and strategic management of the enterprise network.
- Oversees the availability, functionality, and security of the server / network infrastructure.
- Consistently assessing the impact to various information systems, applications, and operations with a motivation to provide exceptional customer experiences.
- Utilizes networking experience and expertise to identify the needs of the organization, document existing architecture, introduces alternative solutions, system design and workflow analysis to meet operational, security, clinical and business objectives.
- Accountable for the delivery of diverse systems: Cisco Hyperflex/UCS servers, Cisco SDN/DNAC/ISE, Cisco Switches, Cisco telephony, VMWare server virtualization, network monitoring/auditing solutions, firewalls, security/security tools, enterprise hardware/wireless solutions, Epic EHR systems/modules, and other solutions as needed.
- Assists in the implementation, support, and maintenance of various applications, networking, and hardware environments: Routing - BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, Redistribution and Route Selection; Switching – VLAN, Trunking, 802.1x, QoS Prioritization; Servers - Windows v2008/2012/2016/2019, Azure / On-Prem Active Directory, Linux, SQL; Manages consolidated I/O, SAN Storage, Application Delivery, CA/internal certificates, Load Balancing (Citrix NetScaler), TCP/IP packet analysis, WAN circuits, DHCP, DNS, Cabling, Wireless LAN management/troubleshooting; and internet based solutions.
- Maintains policy defined redundancy, server replication, backup/recovery solutions (ex. Cohesity). Redundant UPS implementation and failover electrical generation systems.
- Assists in implementing secure infrastructure baselines in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manages, documents, and remediates the infrastructure lifecycle to deliver robust system availability to the organization.
- Remains informed of emerging technologies in the Healthcare Networking Informatics industry. Evaluates technologies as appropriate and participates in the selection, implementation, and ongoing support.
- Communicates effectively with leadership, peers, providers, management, supervisors, and operational staff both internally and externally providing sufficient technical review, documentation, direction, and clarity for all parties involved.
