Each year, almost 500,000 inpatient and outpatient exams and procedures are performed and interpreted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Our radiologists & imaging specialists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology in their respective subspecialties. Our subspecialized imaging physicians, American College of Radiology certified technologists and customer-service oriented staff provide our patients with pioneering imaging technologies and innovative treatment options in a compassionate environment. 

As a Senior Imaging Informatics Systems Administrator (PACS Administrator) you will be a member of the Department of Imaging who is responsible for supporting imaging informatics operations, workflow, and development. Imaging informatics engages all aspects of the digital imaging workflow including image acquisition and processing, image distribution and storage, image visualization and interpretation, reporting, and communications. We are seeking an experienced Imaging Technician with a solid background in both imaging technology and information systems since this position often bridges Imaging with other clinical areas and EIS. 

Summary of Essential Duties: 

  • Performs planning, testing, and validation during systems change management (e.g. CS-Link) 
  • Assesses the impact of change management on downstream clinical systems including RIS, PACS, ALI PACS, and imaging modalities 
  • Works in collaboration with the Lead Imaging Systems Administrator and EIS
  • Assists in training and educational activities as needed, in conjunction with the Imaging Department training coordinator
  • Provides off-hours and weekend support for PACS and RIS, as scheduled
  • Supported ancillary systems include film digitizers, CD/DVD import/export devices, DICOM routers, DICOM brokers, and reporting systems 
  • Interacts with all sections of the Imaging Department, providing operational support and technical guidance to Imaging personnel to ensure optimal digital imaging workflow. 


Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Imaging Technology preferred

License/Certifications:

  • ARRT, RVT, ARDMS, NMTCB, CNMT or ARMRIT certification required
  • California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required – CRT or NMT if applicable
  • Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP), preferred upon hire, required no later than first-year post-employment

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Imaging Informatics Administrator preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Imaging Technologist required
  • Extensive experience in DICOM modality integration and validation preferred
