System Administrator/Operator

Location: BUMED DET (Jacksonville, FL) or BUMED DET NMRA (St. Louis, MO)

Description: CORTEK is seeking a System Administrator/Operator to support network operations at BUMED detachment locations. The System Administrator will be responsible for managing enterprise resources, Active Directory, and ensuring the stability and integrity of local IT systems. This role is crucial for providing reliable IT services to personnel at BUMED's detachments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage enterprise resources at the site, including print servers and file servers.
  • Manage local print queues and ensure routine updates are completed.
  • Manage the local site Organizational Unit (OU) through the Military Joint Active Directory (mJAD).
  • Create, administer, and maintain Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GPO) objects.
  • Add objects to the mJAD within the local site OU and align them to the correct GPOs.
  • Maintain the validity of active user accounts, validate unmanaged accounts, and delete user objects as needed.
  • Support the Enterprise with SCCM distribution point or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) requirements.
  • Provide local E-mail Exchange administration and Office 365 (O365) entitlement manager services.
  • Ensure local site resources are STIG compliant.

Job Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other computing-related disciplines.
  • Five (5) years of IT systems infrastructure experience in a similar capacity.

Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

  • Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification requirements.
  • Experience in system administration within a Windows environment, including Active Directory, GPO, and server management.
  • Familiarity with SCCM/MECM and Exchange/O365 administration.

Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a minimum of an active Secret security clearance.
