Systems Administrator Positions

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly capable and motivated System Administrator with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will possess practical experience in Azure, Windows server administration, and end-to-end Microsoft 365 tenant migrations. This individual will be instrumental in managing cloud and hybrid environments, troubleshooting network issues, and supporting enterprise infrastructure with a focus on stability, security, and scalability.
Azure certifications are highly preferred, and familiarity with Jira and agile project management processes is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including systems hardware, software, and configurations.
  • Manage and monitor data backup processes and ensure robust disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Perform Microsoft 365 Tenant Migrations including mailboxes, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and related services. Tasks include domain preparation, identity synchronization, mailbox moves, license planning, and coexistence strategies.
  • Configure and manage Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop and manage PowerShell scripts for automation of migration tasks and ongoing system management.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues; replace faulty components as needed.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance and plan infrastructure improvements proactively.
  • Implement and configure Fortigate firewall rules and policies to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
  • Provide timely and effective support to users and stakeholders, offering guidance on system functionality and improvements.
  • Use Jira to manage tickets, track sprint tasks, and participate in agile-based IT initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS), Azure AD, and Office 365 administration.
  • Microsoft 365 Tenant Migration experience is required – including identity management (Azure AD Connect, ADFS), Exchange migrations (cutover, staged, hybrid), and data migration tools (e.g., BitTitan, Quest).
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, etc.) are strongly preferred.
  • Expertise with Windows Server deployment, configuration, and Active Directory management.
  • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and familiarity with other automation languages/tools.
  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Experience with Fortinet Fortigate firewalls and network security rule configuration.
  • Proven ability to operate within Jira environments, including ticket management, sprint tracking, and agile workflows.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with a proactive and collaborative work ethic.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision, while aligning with departmental and organizational objectives.
