The Northeast Health District is seeking a proactive and skilled Systems Administrator to deliver exceptional technical support to our staff. As a vital member of our IT team, you’ll assist users in person and over the phone, helping to ensure smooth daily operations throughout the organization.


As a Systems Administrator within the Northeast Health District Computer Services at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve network-related issues to maintain reliable connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and fix hardware and software issues, including Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, Adobe, andmajor web browsers.
  • Maintain and service essential business hardware such as computers, printers, fax machines, and postage meters.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while interacting professionally with staff at all levels.
  • Document IT solutions and provide updates to ongoing projects.
  • Use your critical thinking and organizational skills to solve technical problems efficiently.
  • Follow established IT policies and procedures while adapting to evolving organizational needs.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and expertise in supporting the team.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of related experience.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • BS in Computer/Information Systems or 2+ years as a systems administrator in a small or mid-sized organization.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory (user, printer, and share management).
  • Experience with VMware or similar virtualization technologies.
  • Scripting skills to automate operational tasks.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Annual Salary: $55,000 plus, generous benefits package: 13 paid holidays, accrued annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement plans.
