Position Summary: The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and securing IT infrastructure, managing backups and disaster recovery, and optimizing cloud and on-premise environments. This role involves working with Azure and Microsoft Active Directory, managing automation tools, and ensuring high availability of critical systems. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in system maintenance, security policies, and infrastructure management while supporting the firm’s DevOps initiatives. Programming and coding skills are essential for developing automation scripts and optimizing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Azure & Microsoft Active Directory Administration
  • Manage Azure AD, Group Policy, and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
  • Maintain and optimize Azure Virtual Machines, Networking, and Security Policies.
• System & Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Administer Windows and Linux servers, ensuring system health and performance.
  • Oversee patch management and compliance for all systems.
  • Implement and monitor system security measures to protect against threats.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Manage and test backup solutions, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity processes.
  • Ensure high availability and rapid recovery of critical systems.
• Automation & Process Optimization
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or similar tools.
  • Assist in implementing Power Automate and Logic Apps for workflow efficiency.
  • Programming and coding to enhance automation and system management.
• Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with the DevOps Manager to align infrastructure needs with automation and cloud initiatives.
  • Support end-users and internal teams with system-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and vendors for issue resolution and upgrades.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Cloud Infrastructure, or IT Operations
• Strong knowledge of Azure Infrastructure (Azure AD, Virtual Machines, Networking, IAM, Security Policies)
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and Identity Management
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux administration
• Experience managing backup solutions and disaster recovery plans
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support
• Programming and coding skills for automation and system management

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800, AZ-801)
• Experience with Power Automate and Logic Apps for process automation
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.)
• ITIL knowledge or experience in incident management and service desk operations
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management

Physical Requirements:  

• Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.   
• Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.  
• Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.  May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
• Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.  
• Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs. 
• Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
