UNIX System Administrator

1 YEAR ROLE.  100% REMOTE.  MUST BE ABLE TO WORK EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS, AS NEEDED.

Mandatory Requirements

• Must have minimum five (5) years’ experience with server infrastructure in an Enterprise level environment.
• Must have minimum five (5) years’ experience with IBM AIX in an Enterprise level environment.
• Must have minimum five (5) years’ experience with building, patching, and administering AIX, PowerHA, HMC, VIOS, & Managed Systems.
• Must have experience with troubleshooting of AIX based environment.
• Must have experience with IBM PowerVM virtualization environment (AIX).
• Must have experience with system build processes and procedures in a virtualized environment.
• Must have experience with monitoring capabilities to assist in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance in a UNIX based environment.
• Must have experience with hardening Operating Systems to meet information security standards.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with shell scripting/programming.
• Experience with IBM Big Fix Patch Management.
• Experience with IBM Tivoli Monitoring.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience with physical server hardware break/fix.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to AIX, PowerHA, HMC, VIOS & Managed Systems.
• Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux in an enterprise environment.
