Position Summary:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure across US Eye’s 60 sites. This role requires expertise in Meraki gateways, Aruba switches and access points, with Azure networking configuration to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity between on-premises and cloud resources. This position requires a proactive, hands-on professional who thrives in a multi-site environment and can balance both project-based work and day-to-day network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco Meraki gateways across multiple sites.

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure virtual networks (VNets), VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, and network security groups (NSGs).

  • Ensure secure and optimized hybrid connectivity between Azure cloud resources and on-premises infrastructure.

  • Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and recommend improvements to ensure uptime and reliability.

  • Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and inventory for all sites.

  • Support site expansions, relocations, and upgrades, including hardware deployment and integration.

  • Work with ISPs to provision and troubleshoot internet circuits for branch locations.

  • Manage firewall policies, VPN connections, and network security protocols.

  • Perform root cause analysis for network outages and implement preventive measures.

  • Collaborate with the IT Helpdesk and Field Support teams to resolve escalated network issues.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for network emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki gateways and Aruba switching/wireless solutions in a multi-site environment.

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, and security configurations.
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols.

  • Experience with network monitoring tools and remote management platforms.

  • Familiarity with network security best practices, firewalls, and VPNs.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Meraki and/or Aruba certifications (e.g., CMNA, ACMA, ACMP) 

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate.
  • Experience with healthcare IT networks and HIPAA compliance.

  • Familiarity with VoIP networking concepts.
