Systems Administrator Positions
A. Position Description
Primary Purpose
Under general direction, plans and performs analysis of company activities and guides the subsequent design and implementation of systems for the application of electronic data processing or for the improvement of existing data processing applications. Is concerned primarily with the broad aspects of data processing systems, with the objective of utilizing available personnel resources, computer hardware and software to provide that information most useful to the company in the most efficient manner. Is concerned with the interaction between systems not only to avoid redundancies in storage and processing, but also to take advantage of new and more effective ways of providing needed information. May occasionally train and guide the work of less experienced analysts, but this function is incidental to specific projects.

Major Activities
  • Day-to-day operations of assigned systems and/or other shared systems
  • Active Directory administration
  • Support of global Windows forests and domains, including DNS, AD, OU, GPO, and account management
  • Build Windows physical and virtual servers
  • Understand existing 2019/2022 domain environments to enable system and device migrations from existing domains to new domains
  • Cisco switch configuration knowledge
  • Assist with patch management, antivirus, system monitoring such as WSUS, SEP, and What’s Up Gold
  • Participate in deploying, maintaining, and managing backup and recovery procedures and processes for Windows devices including Veeam
  • Perform Level 1 support including modifying VM servers, reviewing VM performance and alerts
  • Perform firmware updates on SAN and HP servers and VMware
  • Work with colleagues to rationalize and reduce compliance activities performed locally in favor of centralized compliance activities including internal audit
  • Software discovery and management
  • PowerShell scripting and BI reporting knowledge
  • Assistance with ServiceNow tickets

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Work experience: 4 years experience in IT/IS in Windows environment
