Application Systems Administrator

Capstone IT is assisting our Manufacturing client in hiring an Application System Administrator in the Kansas City Area. Upon selection, you’ll work for a company that provides comprehensive, customer-centric solutions and services that result in proven project results. Our client demonstrates how their products can improve time-value project cost efficiencies to make their customers more money.

This person’s primarily responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of IT Infrastructure and application software to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 General:

• Manages all aspects of the IT and ERP Application Systems in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
• Manages IT resource planning, budgeting, and operational initiatives.
• Hold autonomous decision-making authority for IT development and expansion issues, with a focus on voice and data communications, network management, system integration, enterprise architectures, strategic alliances, data integrity and security. 

Communication

• Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification, responds well to questions, demonstrates group presentation skills, participates in meetings.

 Dynamics GP application Support

• Support user base of ~ 20 Individuals
• Maximize Investment
• Process Improvement
• Education, Documentation
• General knowledge of Application Modules
• Manufacturing – BOM, Routing, Work Orders, Inventory
• Finance – GL, AR, AP
• General knowledge of associated SQL tables
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Extract, Report
• Liaison to Tier 2 Support

Communication Support

• Internet Service Providers Liaison
• VoIP Desk Phones
• Mobile Device Support, Migrate to BYOD (Bring your Own Device)

Other Applications Support

• Support from a connectivity standpoint and general understanding, including:
• ADP Workforce (Cloud)
• BUCS Analytics (Cloud)
• Salesforce (Cloud)

Support Current/Planned Initiatives

• Migrate MS Exchange to Cloud (working with vendor partners)
• Migrate Dynamics GP to Azure Cloud (working with vendor partners)
• Upgrade Local File Server
• Promote Cloud Based Storage/Applications

Required Experience

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dynamics GP / Great Plains experience is required
• Basic understanding of SQL is desired
• Experience providing Network / Client Tier 1 Support
• Experience providing Communication Support
• Experience working with internal teams as well as vendors
• Experience in a mid-sized company is highly desired, reflective of having to juggle multiple roles like mentioned above
• Manufacturing or Distribution experience
