The Application System Analyst will deliver operational, technical, and user support for the JOPES and TransViz systems within the USTRANSCOM environment at Scott Air Force Base. The position will be responsible for system configuration, ongoing administration, security compliance, troubleshooting, and integration of cloud-based solutions with enterprise DoD infrastructure. This position ensures maximum system availability, performance, and integrity in support of the mission objectives of USTRANSCOM. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional technical and programmatic teams and includes interfaces with government and contractor stakeholders.

Mission Objectives - The JOPES and TransViz Functional Management Support project is designed to ensure secure, reliable, and continuous operation of core operational planning and execution systems supporting USTRANSCOM's critical missions. The Application System Analyst directly supports this effort by maintaining the integrity and optimal performance of JOPES and TransViz technical environments, contributing to uninterrupted mission operations, readiness, and command decision-making. As a key technical FTE, the Application System Analyst will collaborate with TeAM's program management, database administration, and government stakeholders to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and maintain compliance with all DoD policies and directives.

Position Responsibility Summary:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain JOPES and TransViz systems to ensure persistent availability, performance, and data integrity within the USTRANSCOM operational environment.
  • Integrate and Support and troubleshoot system, application, and network issues; conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and escalate incidents as necessary.
  • Support cloud-based environments, leveraging Air Force Cloud One and Azure Cloud Services to enhance functionality, security, and resilience.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and site-specific security requirements, including regular application of patches, updates, and security measures.
  • Execute and document all standard operating procedures related to system maintenance, backup, restore, and recovery operations.
  • Monitor and report system performance, capacity, and availability metrics; recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure health.
  • Collaborate with Database Administrators, other System Administrators, and the Program Manager to coordinate technical support, changes, and upgrades.
  • Ensure completion and documentation of all annual and recurring DoD mandatory security trainings.
  • Provide technical expertise to support user onboarding, access management, permissions, and training regarding supported systems.
  • Participate in meetings, briefings, and technical evaluations with government clients and team members as required.
