Position Summary:

The Cloud Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes that support the scalable, secure, and efficient operation of client systems. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms, automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud-based DevOps practices, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and clients.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring scalability, security and efficient operation. 

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources and applications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, deployments, and DevOps processes.

  • Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery.

  • Work with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes to manage and scale applications.

  • Document cloud architectures, configurations, and processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Provide support and guidance to junior Cloud Systems Administrators and other IT staff.

  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support for critical cloud infrastructure and DevOps issues.

  • Use a ticketing system to manage and track tasks, ensuring timely resolution and communication with clients and internal teams.

  • Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies, DevOps tools, and industry trends to continuously improve practices and solutions.

  • Demonstrate a strong drive to achieve professional certifications in cloud and DevOps technologies to further develop expertise and career growth.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

  • Strong understanding of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience managing and supporting both Windows and Linux servers.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar are preferred.

  • Experience working with ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
