Job Title: Desktop Engineer
Location: Gray, KY

Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Desktop Engineer to support our end users and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware environments, desktop hardware, and business application support, along with strong troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end users for desktop systems, applications, and hardware.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows-based desktops, laptops, and related peripherals.

  • Support and administer virtual machines and desktops in a VMware environment.

  • Assist with deployment and maintenance of business-critical applications.

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently, escalating as needed.

  • Maintain documentation of support processes, configurations, and known issues.

  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure optimal system performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in desktop support and system administration.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with VMware (vSphere, Horizon, or similar).

  • Experience supporting Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications.

  • Familiarity with desktop hardware setup and repair.

  • Ability to support a wide range of business applications.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, VMware VCP, or Microsoft MCP are a plus.


    Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 per year salary
