Desktop Support Technicians provide hands-on technical support for staff across the healthcare facility, ensuring reliable access to the systems, devices, and applications required for daily operations. Desktop Support Technicians resolve user-submitted issues within assigned departments and external Samaritan locations; both via the ticketing system and by acting as a liaison for these departments and locations to forge strong communicative relationships and to best understand their unique technical needs.

The ideal candidate is someone who is primarily service-driven, proactive, loves to constantly learn, and thrives in a customer-facing, technical-focused role.

Qualifications:

• An associates degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or;

• • A+ certification or equivalent, or;

  • 1 year of experience in healthcare-related IT services, or;

  • 2 years of experience in IT support.

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills necessary to work with all levels of hospital employees and physician staff. 

• Complete knowledge of operational aspects of microcomputers to include operating systems (Microsoft Windows), a variety of office application software, and familiarity with available peripheral equipment. 

• Familiarity with Active Directory, remote assistance tools, and ticketing systems.
