We have an immediate opening for an Entry Level Network Administrator to support our Information Services Department.
 
SHIFT:
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
 
The Network Administrator is responsible for assisting with the daily management, maintenance, and monitoring of an organization's computer networks. This includes assisting with installing, configuring, and supporting network hardware and software; ensuring network security and performance; and troubleshooting network issues. The role involves managing LANs, WANs, VPNs, and internet connectivity to ensure seamless and secure operations. The Network Administrator also plays a key role in network upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and supporting IT staff and end users.  
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • This position requires working in-office at our physical location on a full-time basis.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and support of network equipment (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, access points, servers, and circuits).
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and support of network systems, including LANs, WANs, and other networking infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Provide technical support to end users for network-related problems.
  • Provide technical support to end users for all business-related PC problems
  • Install, manage, and support VoIP phone systems.
  • Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and inventory.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring security measures to safeguard the network.
  • Support software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades.
  • Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the current telecommunication systems at all locations including hardware and software to assure maximum usage.
  • Collaborate with the IS team to improve and optimize network infrastructure.
  • Configure/ updates/troubleshoots and install laptops, workstations, scanners, printers, faxes, office phones, iPads, and all technology-based peripherals physically and remotely.
  • Liaison with outside service providers to support the IS infrastructure.
  • Stay abreast of new technology with an eagerness to learn.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Associate’s degree in computer network technology or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 3 years’ related experience including networking & IT support.
  • Active knowledge of Active Directory and group policies.
  • Experience with network hardware such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools
  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite including Office 365
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, FTP, MFA, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
  • Must possess problem-solving and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and have self-initiative.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
  • Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format.
  • Ability to lift 55 pounds and lift and/or carry articles as servers, PC's, and technology hardware.
  • Effective and cooperative team member.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Desirable but not required MCSE, A+, Network +, CCNA, MCP.
Travel is required, mostly in state and usually no overnight travel.  Travel schedule is not fixed and will depend on the IT needs of each of MRC's clinic locations. 
 
MRC's external clinic locations include Flowood, MS; Ridgeland, MS; Gluckstadt, MS; Clinton, MS; Meridian, MS; Tupelo, MS; Oxford, MS; Biloxi, MS; Hattiesburg, MS; Cleveland, MS; Starkville, MS; Brookhaven, MS; Monroe, LA with possibility of other clinics to open in the future.
