Description

Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and managing the company’s essential IT infrastructure, including networks, security, servers, desktops, laptops, applications, operating systems, and other software and hardware. Ensure systems are operating successfully, while identifying potential issues and future needs.

 

  • Provide technical support to VeriFacts’ employees and other parties as needed
  • Build, image, install, configure, and troubleshoot computers
  • Build, update, configure, manage, and administer servers
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and configure VOIP systems
  • Write, test, and deploy group policy as needed
  • Write, test, and implement system hardening policy according to CIS benchmarks, as well as other applicable standards
  • Identify, track, and communicate outage and incident reports to owners
  • Maintain applicable security functionality: o Identifying and logging events
    • Monitoring and analyzing network traffic
    • OSSEC / intrusion detection
    • Security patching
    • Regular review of firewall access rules
    • Premises
  • Remediate vulnerabilities on servers, workstations, and other network devices
  • Plan and implement software, hardware, or configuration changes as needed
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network system problems and identify hardware or software needed for implementation
  • Ensure Disaster Recovery protocols and Business Continuity plans are maintained and tested
  • Maintain computer network functionality, system software, application software as well as all configurations and functions
  • Monitor network performance to determine if current or future changes are required, as well as identifying hardware or software needed for implementation
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
  • Write, test, and deploy scripts
  • Create, manage, issue, revoke, and occasionally audit various user accounts and licenses
  • Maintain logs related to network functions as well as maintenance
  • Document and maintain applicable policies and procedures

Maintain physical asset tracking and documentation
