Systems Administrator Positions
Overview:<\/span>
<\/div>
We are seeking skilled a Junior Systems Administrator with expertise in Windows Server Operations, VMware, and Azure Administration to join our team onsite in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will have hands\-on experience with River Meadow migration tools and will work closely with application teams to support, maintain, and optimize our client’s technology stack.<\/span>

Key Responsibilities:<\/span>
<\/div>
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (versions 2008 through 2025).<\/span>
<\/div>
• Manage and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure (version 8.x).<\/span>
<\/div>
• Perform Azure Administration tasks, including resource provisioning, monitoring, and security management.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Collaborate directly with application teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Support server migrations and cloud adoption initiatives, leveraging River Meadow experience.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Implement and maintain system security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery plans.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Perform occasional travel to client plants across the U.S. for onsite support and projects (most work will be in Durham, NC).<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
Required Qualifications:<\/span>
<\/div>
• Experience in Windows Server administration (2008–2025).<\/span>
<\/div>
• Strong background in VMware vSphere administration (8.x preferred).<\/span>
<\/div>
• Hands\-on experience with Azure Administration in enterprise environments.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Experience with River Meadow migration tools or similar technologies.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with application teams and cross\-functional stakeholders.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem\-solving, and documentation skills.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Ability to travel occasionally for onsite support at remote facilities.<\/span>
<\/div>
Preferred Qualifications:<\/span>
<\/div>
• Industry certifications such as MCSE, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Azure Administrator Associate.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Experience in manufacturing or plant\-based IT environments.<\/span>
<\/div>
Work Environment:<\/span>
<\/div>
• Onsite role in Durham, NC with occasional travel to plants nationwide.<\/span>
<\/div>
• Fast\-paced, collaborative environment with direct engagement with technical and business teams.<\/span>
