Who We Are

Acumera is now Scale Computing! Scale Computing is a global leader in edge computing, hyperconverged infrastructure, and managed networking solutions. We deliver innovative, secure, and scalable technology that powers critical operations worldwide.

About the Role

The Tier 3 Managed Network Administrator is a senior member of the Network Operations Center (NOC) team and serves as the ultimate escalation point for complex technical issues. This role ensures the responsiveness, reliability, and technical excellence of our customer support operation.

As a Tier 3 Administrator, you’ll work hands-on with Scale Computing’s networking technologies, Linux environments, and internal tools to troubleshoot advanced network challenges. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by documenting best practices, mentoring lower-tier technicians, and collaborating across departments to resolve multi-customer or system-wide issues.

This role is ideal for a highly technical problem-solver with deep networking knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a passion for driving operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

As an integral part of the Network Operations Center team, the Tier 3 Managed Network Administrator will:

  • Troubleshoot and manage:
    • Device registration and policy creation
    • Switch configuration and VPN support
    • General network configuration and administration (e.g., iptables)
    • Device firmware management
    • Scale Computing Apps and Workloads
    • Third-party firewalls and loyalty integrations
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting multiple customers simultaneously (e.g., application or workload issues).
  • Write, update, and quality-check knowledge base articles for use by other NOC team members.
  • Schedule and manage maintenance updates for apps, firmware, and systems impacting the customer base as a whole.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure escalations are fully addressed.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours escalation support as needed.
