Network Administrator Positions

Role Designation: Network Administrator - Level II 


Investigation Required: Tier 3 (Secret Clearance) 


Certifications: IAT II (Please see Section 3.0 Commercial Certificates for DoD 8570.01-M certificate requirement); CE: Associate (professional preferred) level certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR. 


Experience: Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency. 


Responsibility: Deploy and sustain new or existing information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks. Administers day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security and availability of the network. Perform daily performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintain security posture of the network. May assist architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations and testing of network hardware and software products. Creates standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the network. Performs network infrastructure maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture is maintained. 


Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.
