ABC Supply Company is currently looking for a Network Administrator for our National Support Center in Beloit.  This position will serve multiple roles for our National Support Center in supporting the IT Infrastructure for over 1,000 remote locations as well as the ABC Supply facilities in Beloit, WI. 

Summary:

The below role will work with IT Infrastructure and related software/systems that support ABC Supply co., Inc.  This position reports to the Server & Data Center Manager.

Requirements:

  • Broad skills and ability to carry out assignments of moderate scope and complexity
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Can operate independently and make technical decisions regarding assigned project work
  • Fundamental business process knowledge
  • Focus 50% on escalated tickets from Service Desk and Network Analysts, 50% on project work
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Willing to work off hours as needed
  • Willing to travel if the business needs require it
  • 4 + years of relevant experience and/or technical degree
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of network fundamentals (IP addressing, routing, VLANs, DNS, etc.)
  • Experience with routers and switches
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of user directory and management

Primary job responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Setup, configure and troubleshoot networking equipment, printers, and copiers
  • Take 2nd level network support calls escalated from Network Analysts
  • Test, turn up, and troubleshoot network and internet connections
  • Maintain network equipment inventory including warranty support
  • Maintain network documentation and service tickets
  • Configure and support our wireless infrastructure
  • Manage updates to Active Directory, including creating accounts and assigning groups and permissions
  • Assist Network Engineers with various tasks related to network support
