Job Objective: The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across all systems and locations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and systems.
- Manage network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades to ensure system reliability and security.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT team members to support business-critical IT tasks and projects.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage network backup and recovery processes.
Requirements
3 years of work experience as a network administrator.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Required Experience and Knowledge:
- Network design, implementation, and management.
- Network security practices and technologies.
- Network monitoring and performance tools.
- Network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Network hardware and software (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Cloud networking (preferably Azure or AWS).
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Technical Skills:
- Configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
- VPN technologies and remote access solutions.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Cloud networking and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Ability to integrate and manage on-premises and cloud network environments.
- Network design, implementation, and security.
