Job Description:

As a Network Administrator, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Overseeing the daily operations and administration of the Local Area Network (LAN).
• Directing the installation and maintenance of workstations, printers, monitors, servers, cabling and other network devices as needed.
• Troubleshooting and correcting hardware and network problems.
• Providing assistance to customers with hardware and application software problems.
• Monitoring the performance and operation of the data network.
• Assisting in the development of the data portion of the Information Services Expense and Capital Budgets.
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of the Information Technology Plan.
• Properly disposing equipment and data to safeguard data loss.
• Working in close coordination with the Director of Information Services to plan, implement, and maintain data security initiatives.
• Handling after-hour service calls remotely or on-site as needed.
• Ensuring that all data is backed up and retrievable so that it can be accessed when needed.
• Providing network and application training to users.
• Coordinating the purchasing of hardware and software.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in computer related field and 2 years of experience maintaining computer systems is strongly preferred. 
• Must have strong operational knowledge of personal computers, related hardware, network operating systems, data network concepts, Windows operating system, office productivity applications, data security concepts, and wireless networking.
• Must have basic knowledge of fiber optics and category 5 cabling systems.
• Understanding of basic business operations and related application software is required.
• Similar work experiences at a healthcare environment is preferred.
