Network Administrator Positions

TAARA is growing - and we're looking for a Network Administrator to join our innovative ITC team supporting TaaraConnect, a groundbreaking Free Space Optical Communications (FSOC) technology that uses beams of light to deliver high-speed connectivity where fiber can't reach.

If you love solving complex technical puzzles, working hands-on with cutting-edge systems, and being part of a team that's redefining global connectivity, this could be the perfect next step in your career. As part of an Employee-Owned (ESOP) company, you'll have a direct stake in our success - and the freedom to grow right along with us.

What You'll Do

  • Operate and support network connectivity solutions to remotely manage and monitor wireless backhaul network equipment in large-scale systems.

  • Monitor performance data, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot network and system issues across production environments.

  • Configure routers, switches, VPN tunnels, and firewalls in collaboration with senior engineers.

  • Spin up and administer Linux-based virtual machines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Support multiple technical teams in high-uptime, 24/7 operational environments.

  • Develop and document network troubleshooting procedures and standard operating processes.

  • Collaborate with internal engineers, technicians, and customers to deliver stable, secure connectivity.

  • Participate in field or customer-site deployments when needed (domestic and international).

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of network administration or NOC operations experience.

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, NAT, VPN, SNMP, DNS, and routing protocols.

  • Experience using Linux command line, shell or Python scripting, and cloud platforms such as GCP.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills; calm and clear under pressure.

  • Valid driver's license and US passport (or ability to obtain).

Bonus points for:

  • Cisco/Juniper certifications or equivalent cloud credentials.

  • Experience with Grafana dashboards or mySQL databases.

  • Familiarity with wireless, RF, or optical communication systems.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Be part of an Employee-Owned company - your contributions build your equity.

  • Work alongside smart, creative engineers in a culture that values innovation and curiosity.

  • Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) match and ESOP participation.

  • Opportunities for professional growth, technical training, and travel.

  • Flexible, hybrid work environment based in Sunnyvale.
