Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Operations Systems Administrator supports the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the L2L (Lean to Lead) platform and related production systems. This role is key in integrating shop floor technologies, including PLCs and other data sources, with enterprise-level platforms to ensure accurate, real-time information flow. The position also supports continuous improvement efforts by leveraging SQL, data visualization tools, and low-code/no-code platforms to optimize performance and drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2–4-year degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing systems, production technology, or continuous improvement roles
  • Working knowledge of L2L and data handling
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Hands-on experience with L2L or other MES platforms
  • Proficiency in building dashboards or reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or other CI methodologies

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Comfortable using or learning low-code platforms for automation and process improvement
  • Analytical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Software:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Preferred: L2L, or other MES platforms (Ignition, Plex, FactoryTalk), Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)

Essential to Job Functions:

  • Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
  • Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the work day
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen

Work Environment:

  • Requires 5% travel
  • Open-Office Setting
  • Factory Setting with Noise
