System Administrator

Location: Onsite – near Lafayette, IN  

Pay: Up to $100K

Pinnacle Partners is assisting our client in the search for a System Administrator to join their team near the Lafayette, IN area. This successful resource will be responsible for participating in management and deployment of physical, virtual, and cloud server environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and apply patches to servers and systems  
• Install and manage operating systems and 3^rd party patches and upgrades
• Ensure applications and servers are backed up and adhering to data retention policies
• Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes  
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software failures
• Provide support per request
• Lead project teams in implementing and delivering new technologies  
• Monitor system outages
• Respond in on-call rotations to handle support calls
• Track SSL Certificates and renew as necessary
• Assist the development of help desk staff
• Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators
• Prepare presentations for proposed new hardware and software for leadership

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of system administration experience OR 8+ years of system administration experience
• Microsoft Server Administration and Azure experience
• VMWare experience
• Veeam experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Linux/Unix administration experience
• Experience with SAP S4/HANA or ERP systems
• Relevant certifications
