Systems Administrator Positions

Please note this is an on-site position, located in White City, OR


GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Provide support for company-wide network and computing operations and procedures, under the direction of the Director of Information Technology; independently perform troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, upgrade and installation activities such as deploying on-premises and cloud servers, network and phone equipment; assist in user support, backups, system maintenance and documentation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop/Maintain documentation of network/systems configurations and changes

Design/Deploy/Support LANs, WANs, VLANs, SD-WANs, Internet and intranet systems

Design/Deploy/Support network and system security

Configure/Maintain authentication and authorization of directory services and GPOs

Monitor/Support virtual systems and networking

Monitor/Support cloud systems and related applications and services

Monitor/Support network and system performance, efficiency and availability

Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together

Monitor/Support system backups and DR plans

Assist with regulatory compliance

Make recommendations for future upgrades

Proactively identify user needs

Evaluate and make recommendations to optimize current processes and procedures

Troubleshoot tier 2 problems reported by users

Maintain network servers and devices such as file servers, firewalls, VPN gateways, SD-WAN and intrusion detection systems

Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, tablets, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches

Demonstrate adaptability to organizational changes

Demonstrate regular predictable attendance

Design, deploy, and support scripts from common scripting languages

Perform the duties from IT Tech I-III positions as needed

Perform other tasks and duties as requested by supervisor


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a technical field and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training- or a minimum of five years of related experience and/or training

Experience with networking, including network segmentation and SD-WAN

Experience with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V platforms

Experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS

Prefer experience with IP phone systems

Experience with Microsoft Access applications

Experience with Microsoft SQL and MySQL


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Superior verbal and written skills, including ability to communicate clearly to all levels within company and outside parties

Demonstrated self-motivation, project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
