Systems Administrator Positions

General Atomics Integrated Intelligence (Rome, NY) is seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator to join its growing team. Candidates must have a strong background in Linux administration and Networking with an ability to work as part of a diverse team as well as independently. In this role, you will deploy, maintain, and support the operation and security of organizational systems and networks.

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline and six or more years of progressive professional systems administration experience in an information technology department. May substitute equivalent working experience in the field in lieu of education.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Strong knowledge of networking (e.g., TCP/IP, OSI model).
  • Proficient in service configuration (e.g., DNS, DHCP, SSH, NFS).
  • Proficient in virtualization technologies.
  • Proficient in shell scripting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex, interconnected systems with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required. 

Value-Added Skills & Experience:
  • Microsoft Windows administration
  • Familiarity with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53r4, or DISA STIG requirements
  • Centralized Authentication
  • Configuration Management (e.g., SaltStack)
  • Information System Security knowledge
  • Experience with Nessus or vulnerability scanning
  • Monitoring tools and log aggregation
  • Containerization (e.g., Docker, Podman)
  • Certifications that map to DoDI 8570.01-M (e.g., Linux+, Security+)
