Helpdesk Support Positions

Felician University is presently seeking an experienced Information Technology professional to serve as a Help Desk Technician from the beginning of September 2025 through December 2025.

 

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Information Technology, the Help Desk Technician provides 1st line technical support to faculty, staff, and students in the resolution of hardware and software problems through assistance via phone, email or onsite.

Required Education:

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience relevant to 1st line/help desk support;
  • Proven experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, One Drive);
  • Demonstrated experience managing Outlook within a network environment;
  • Excellent people skills, ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people;
  • Strong verbal communication skills, ability to disseminate information in a clear, concise manner both in person and via telephone;
  • Well-developed organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and work efficiently;
  • Professional appearance and demeanor;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows desktop technologies;
  • Familiarity with Smart board configurations and set up;
  • Solid understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration and imaging computers;
  • Ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University.
