We are seeking a Workday Financial Systems Administrator for our client, a global property management company. Candidates are preferred to be based in Draper, UT or Las Vegas, NV.


Position Overview
The Workday Financial Systems Administrator will manage, configure, and maintain the organization’s financial systems, including Workday Accounting Center, Payroll, Adaptive Planning, Spend Management, Reporting, Analytics, and Integrations. This role ensures the platform is secure, compliant, up-to-date, and functioning optimally, while driving system enhancements to support accounting and finance processes. The position involves leading system projects, resolving complex issues, improving processes, and enhancing the overall user experience across the Workday platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, maintain, configure, and implement applications and systems, including troubleshooting incidents and ensuring compliance, security, and licensing.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and policies.
  • Perform complex Workday configuration changes, create test scripts, and validate processes against project goals.
  • Research, design, test, and implement configuration changes that improve processes and efficiency.
  • Serve as lead subject matter expert for Workday, ensuring effective system utilization and accuracy.
  • Manage assigned Workday modules, including semi-annual releases and regular updates.
  • Monitor system performance, proactively address issues, and seek opportunities to enhance processes and user experience.
  • Plan, track, and execute system upgrades; coordinate projects, manage timelines, and communicate status updates.
  • Document configuration change requirements and communicate project expectations to team members.
  • Track and manage project-related issues, including scope changes.
  • Lead change management activities, including developing test scripts, communication plans, implementation plans, and rollback plans.
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues and outages, conduct root cause analysis, and implement problem management strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships during incidents, enhancements, and maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Workday module certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial systems, applications management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial system administration with knowledge of accounting and finance concepts, processes, and procedures.
  • Minimum 3 years of in-depth, hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Workday Accounting Center, Prism, and other modules (expense management, adaptive planning, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance business processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong planning, analysis, and organization abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
