IT System & Network Administrator

About Us:
Rigid Global Buildings is seeking an experienced IT professional to join our growing team. This role is essential to ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure while supporting business operations and driving technological improvements.  This position reports to the Director of IT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, and support Microsoft Windows Server environments
• Administer and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, and user accounts
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot networking solutions (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers)
• Deploy, maintain, and optimize VMware environments (ESXi, vCenter, virtual machines)
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity best practices, including patch management, endpoint protection, and threat response
• Provide technical support and resolve escalated IT issues
• Assist with IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and cloud integrations
• Monitor system performance, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in IT administration and support
• Strong expertise in:
  • Networking  (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Active Directory (Group Policies, domain services)
  • Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
  • VMware virtualization (ESXi, vCenter)  
  • Cybersecurity best practices and tools
• Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA, MCSA/MCSE, VCP, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
