IT Systems & Network Administrator
Location: Houston, TX (onsite)
Travel: Required to SFE-Group locations in Houston and other states (CT, OR)

The Role
As an IT Systems & Network Administrator, you will take ownership of configuring, maintaining, and securing our IT hardware, networks, and servers. You’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting issues, managing Microsoft 365, ensuring system security, and supporting employees with day-to-day IT needs. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and the ability to educate users on best practices, especially in cybersecurity.
What You’ll Do
IT Support & User Management
- Configure laptops/desktops and install required software.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to systems.
- Respond to employee IT support requests quickly and effectively.
- Educate employees on cybersecurity practices.
Network & Infrastructure
- Design, configure, and maintain hardware and network systems for scalability and performance.
- Install and manage VPN connections.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor and optimize network performance.
- Ensure the security of IT infrastructure across all locations.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Outlook 365.
- Manage features, email security, and settings across Microsoft 365.
Server & Data Management
- Install, configure, and monitor servers.
- Perform software updates and patch management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server issues.
- Manage data backup and recovery processes.
- Document configurations, processes, and reports.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6–8 years of experience in IT hardware, networking, server management, and cybersecurity.
- Proven technical expertise with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong background in cybersecurity practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Willingness to travel to SFE-Group locations, sometimes on short notice.
