Overview

Position Title: Network Administrator (this position is shift work and can be various shifts)

Work Location: Hickam AFB, Oahu, HI

 

Job Summary
KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for a Network Administrator to join our rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, management and support of the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security and reliability of the network.

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:


• Technical knowledge on network enterprise solutions using LAN, MAN, and WAN technologies
• Able to configure switching and routing systems to customer environments
• Respond to customer requests for support in resolving BAN networking issues including troubleshooting, configuration and optimization
• Monitors network performance and troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure network SLAs are met
• Uses subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues
• Provides technical guidance regarding network related issues.
• Configures and maintains network hardware and software, including routers, switches, VPNs and wireless access points
• Maintains detailed documentation of network configurations, changes and procedures
• Prepares reports on network performance, security incidents and other key metrics
• Provides recommendations for network improvements based on analysis and industry best practices
• Able to install network equipment
• Knowledge and experience with routers, switches, wireless access points, and network devices
• Knowledge and experience with encryptions devices (KG—175 D, KG-250)
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Education/Experience
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
• Technical training in Network Administration functions preferred
• IAT-II certification required

• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
• Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
• Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Security Clearance

Position requires a Secret security clearance. Must be a US citizen.

Posted Salary Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
