Network Administrator Positions
Telecommunications Engineer is responsible for planning, deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring corporate telephony systems, largely based on Microsoft Teams ecosystem. They provide technology and process expertise in the application of new and existing technologies to deliver great customer experience with hybrid work, including meetings, conference calls, large events, VoIP and related telecom functions. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, analytical thinking as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Support administration and 24x7 delivery of telecom services in an enterprise scale environment.
  • Support corporate audio and video collaboration systems:
    • Microsoft Teams calling and meetings 
    • Microsoft Teams Rooms based audio/video conferencing
    • Remote office work for A/V technology (Cisco and Microsoft)
    • Contact center, call recording and other auxiliary telecom functions
    • Cisco Webex based meeting events
  • Support high visibility and executive-related events and needs, both in person and remotely.
  • Assist with Microsoft Endpoint and Office 365 management, as capacity allows.
  • Evaluate security posture and identify process improvements.
  • Manage break/fix work and customer requests related to telephony services, including equipment deployment and servicing
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure wiring (ethernet, copper and fiber) and telecom equipment (gateways, routers, circuits)
  • Provide localized support of wired and wireless data network (smart hands)
  • Manage telecom related projects
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent IT support experience.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of routing and switching, networking technologies, including TCP/IP and DNS.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and Teams administration. 
  • Familiar with servicing and deploying enterprise telephony networks and infrastructure (network/telephony equipment and cabling).
  • Familiar with implementing cyber security standards and security posture improvements in IT, including vulnerability management and hardening practices.
  • Experience working with various desktop, mobile and server operating systems platforms.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving, IT troubleshooting skills and desire to learn new concepts.
  • Experience with IT end user support demonstrates excellent customer service.
  • Highly self-motivated, flexible, organized and timely completion of assignments.
  • Passion for working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment where change is constant.
Desired Requirements:
  • Experience administering MS Teams or Cisco based telephony and A/V conferencing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft M365 and Intune administration
  • Working knowledge of wired and wireless networking and troubleshooting methods. 
  • Experience with deploying, administering, and troubleshooting VoIP telephony infrastructure, analog or digital circuits and related hardware, and telecom related products such as audio/videoconferencing and voicemail.
  • Experience supporting PCs, mobile devices.
  • Experience leading cross functional projects (preparing project plans to communicate and track execution).
  • Relevant Microsoft or Cisco certifications
  • Experience with legacy and SIP telephony products is a plus.
  • Experience scripting or web/application development.
