Network Administrator Positions

Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to join our Information Technology team on-site in our office in Novato, California. This position is ineligible for relocation. 

In a team-oriented environment, the Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, administration, and maintenance of Bank of Marin’s 7x24x365 enterprise-wide systems, providing network, server, hardware infrastructure, security, and end- user support. Mentor the Tiers 1 & 2 staff as required. Manage and optimize computer, software and network systems to ensure high levels of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the supported business applications. Diagnose and resolve problems quickly with patience while communicating with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. 

  • Support the Bank's LAN/WAN user community and install application software at both the network and workstation level.
  • Maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN appliances as assigned by the IT Manager.
  • Working knowledge with Fortinet FortiGate environments and equipment a plus.
  • Server and storage Virtualization Support:
    • Administer the Bank’s virtual environment comprised of LAN Switches, Nutanix hyperconverged
    • infrastructure and replication technologies supporting physical and virtual servers.
    • Experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance and security.
    • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve server and application installation and integration issues.
    • Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), automation (PowerShell, Python), and strong troubleshooting abilities.
    • Participate in and support capacity planning efforts aligned with the Bank business goals.
  • Respond to trouble calls from the Bank's Help Desk.
  • Develop, update, and execute disaster recovery plan.
  • Manage and monitor enterprise backup operations, assuring accurate data replication to DR site, thus ensuring ability to restore servers, applications, and data.
  • Assist the ISO’s office with researching, recommending and implementing security solutions.

 

Professional Experience: 

Minimum 3-5 years of enterprise networking related experience.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

 

Certifications and Professional Designations:

  • Technical certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Azure Cloud certs are preferred but not required.
  • CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certification. or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • Must maintain a valid California driver’s license.

The hiring pay range for this position is $50.87 - $71.22 per hour. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
