General Summary: The Network Administrator is the district’s primary administrator responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and security of the Perrysburg Schools network infrastructure across ten buildings, 10 MDFs, and approximately 30 IDFs. This position supports reliable connectivity and services for more than 12,000 district devices, ensuring secure, efficient, and resilient network operations.
The Network Administrator operates with a high degree of independence and collaborates closely with the Director of Technology and Data & Security Analyst on cybersecurity, identity management, and systems-related initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and clean BCII/FBI background check.
Demonstrated proficiency with Macintosh, ChromeOS, Windows, iOS, and Linux hardware and software.
Hands-on experience with network wiring (Cat6, fiber optic), termination, device installation, and physical infrastructure.
Working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, routing, switching, wireless systems, and network protocols.
Understanding of routine network maintenance, backups, and client network configuration.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Strong professional demeanor, tact, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of network administration experience in a medium or large environment.
CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Medium work: lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; up to 30 pounds frequently.
Physical activities include climbing, standing, bending, reaching, typing, and working in wiring closets and tight spaces.
Exposure to moderate risks, including electrical equipment, ladders, confined spaces, or irritant materials.
Use of protective gear may be required (gloves, masks, goggles).
