Florida Association of Court Clerks and Comptrollers/CiviTek Solutions, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is actively recruiting for Desktop Support Specialist.

Florida Association of Court Clerks & Comptrollers is a statewide, non-profit member association. The association is comprised of the Florida Clerks of the Circuit Court and Comptrollers. FACC Services Group, LLC, dba CiviTek Solutions was established in 1991 to provide financial and technical services for the Clerks of Circuit Court and Comptrollers of the State of Florida. CiviTek is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Florida Association of Court Clerks, Inc. (FCCC). 


The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for providing effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all FCCC/Civitek end-user systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that end-user system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies.

 

Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install new/rebuild existing desktops/laptops and configure hardware, software, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Provide primary support for desktop systems, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other end-user hardware.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security tools.
  • Perform regular security monitoring on end user equipment to identify any possible intrusions.  Address security concerns according to the FCCC/Civitek security policy guidelines.
  • Respond to and resolve end user support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other documentation/procedures. Provide Tier I/Desktop/other support per request from various constituencies.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues both remotely and in person.
  • Interpret and/or discuss information with others in a courteous and professional manner.  Communication may involve terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; provide advice and recommend actions involving technology issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Support video conferencing systems and assist with meeting room technology.
  • Required to purchase and maintain Desktop/Laptop/Peripheral software and hardware inventory.
  • Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to written correspondence. Provide high quality customer service to all internal and external customers.  Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and regulations and instructions.
  • Requires 15% travel to provide IT support for Member Services Conferences throughout the State of Florida.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems, Mac Operating Systems, Office 365 and desktop support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies such as Azure.
  • Understanding of Computer Security Essentials.
  • Understanding networking concepts.
  • Ability to be detail oriented, research ideas, develop a plan and see it through to completion.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various aspects of computer hardware, software, networking/connectivity, etc.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate issues in both written and verbal format to peers and escalation points.
  • The position requires the ability to work with computing systems, software and peripheral equipment in a Microsoft and Mac operating environment.
